CRITTER OF THE MONTH

CHARLIE

Charlie is a Miniature Horse in his late teens. We re-homed him from a farm that was closing down. They acquired Charlie after he ran away from his previous home several times to their farm. The local police begged them to keep him so they did. He is blind in one eye but that doesn't slow him down. He's got a big Heart and loves kids.

Sadly as I prepared to launch our website we found Charlie late on 7/23/2020  rolling in the barn with stomach pain. Thought he was colicking and phoned the Vet. Upon her arrival around 2 am she assessed him with a twisted gut. 2 choices emergency surgery or euthanasia. Besides a surgical bill of several thousand which we didn't have the funds or the possibility the transportation there which would most likely kill him. We decided to humanly end his suffering and send him over the Rainbow Bridge to run freely with those gone before.

Please consider donating to our nonprofit. All donations are  tax deductible. All funds are 100% go back into the animals for vet care, food, and shelters. help us build a medical nest egg so we can be prepared should another emergency arise.

Being a new Nonprofit we haven't been able to start much of a fund yet. To this point we are funding everyone ourselves.

We'll miss you sweet Charlie horse more than you'll know.
